Light Factory

(Interviewing Lazarus!)
We're all exhausted but yet again we have had a brilliant week doing Pill Churches Together Holiday Club, hosted by the Salvation Army. Approximately 50 children enjoyed 4 mornings of fun filled activity whilst learning about how Jesus is the light of the world. And tonight we had a packed hall for the final celebration as the families came together to see their children get their certificates and prizes.

I'm sure the families will be hoping that the children will soon stop singing "Let your light shine Whoa, Let your light shine Whoa and let Jesus shine through you, but we are praying they will never forget who Jesus is and that he will shine in their hearts forever.
God bless
Carol

I don't know you but I have a blog that comes right before yours. Mine is called Celebrateredemption.blogspot.org. I find it more than coincidental that tonight when I clicked "next blog" I came to yours. The reason is that I live in Seattle, and just completed a master's level counseling internship at the Seattle Adult Rehab Center, where I counseled men who struggle with substance abuse. I LOVED working at the Salvation Army and am going to be interviewing in the next day or two to get a job at the Tacoma, WA Salvation Army shelter. I am not an officer, but I grew up in a conservative holiness denomination and have read many of the Salvation Army founders' works--the Booths, Samuel Logan Brengle, etc. I am middle-aged but have long felt a call to serve the Lord through the counseling field. I got my degree at a small seminary in Seattle.

I was sorry to read about the fire you had a while back. I pray all that will be back to normal soon. If you should ever want to write me, please don't hesitate! May you be blessed richly by our Lord Jesus Christ!

Sincerely,
Elise Cadwell
